BUYERS FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

BUYERS FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Q: Can you show me homes that are not listed by you?

Yes. I have access to every home for sale in Indiana.

  • Q: If I drive by a home and like it should I call you or the agent listed on the sign?

Always call me. Calling the listing agent will keep me from further representing you in purchasing that home, and you will not have a buyer’s agent to represent you.

  • Q: Should I go through an OPEN HOUSE without a REALTOR® being present?

Yes. Always let the showing agent know that you are represented by a REALTOR®. (Hand them my card or give them my name and give them your first names only).

  • Q: What should I do if I go through an OPEN HOUSE and the agent tells me they have an offer but I can write an other one with them so I won’t miss out on the house?

Do not fall for that tactic. Call me and let me handle this matter.

  • Q: What should I do if I see a “FOR SALE BY OWNER” home that I may be interested in?

Call me. I will call the home owner and let them know that I have a client interested in looking at their home. I will handle the paper work for them and let you know how the home’s price fits into the market. I will represent you as a buyer’s agent.

  • Q: Do I need a Buyer’s agent if I am going to build a home or buy a new home already built?

YES, the builder’s rep that is in the new construction home is working for the builder, not you. You will pay the same price with or without a buyer’s agent. Location in a new development is very important and a builders’ rep may not give you advice that will be beneficial in the future. Plus a buyer’s agent can possibly save you thousands in property taxes.

  • Q: How do you get paid?

The seller pays me. I do not get paid until the home is closed. I am an independent agent and I work for you.
